| What is kinesiology? |
‘Kinesis’ is a Greek word meaning movement. Kinesiology is the study of movement and through muscle testing kinesiologists can find the factors that disrupt the natural flow of energy. Kinesiology applies a wide range of gentle, yet powerful techniques that create and sustain health and well being thus facilitating a self-healing process. |
Kinesiology and its benefits |
Kinesiology has proven particularly effective at dealing with those emotional issues that are less readily addressed by conventional medicine, which it safely complements. Kinesiology is renowned for identifying and helping the underlying causes of health problems that are difficult to find by any other means. Kinesiology can: increase energy and vitality, prevent illness, improve posture, relieve physical pain and tension, release and help people manage emotions and stress, enhance brain function and co-ordination, discover individual nutritional needs.
Kinesiology improves and maintains the body’s well being – physically, socially and emotionally. Working on the concept of the “Triangle of Health”, our daily lives are such, that the equilateral triangle is never completely balanced. The imbalance manifests itself as symptoms of ill health either now, or in the future. The effects of this imbalance/ill health are addressed using Kinesiology’s corrective techniques.
Further, the body, the mind and our emotions function most effectively when our internal energy flows freely and without interruption. Kinesiology identifies and resolves blocked energy paths and helps to alleviate the symptoms that this can cause. The effects take place at the conscious, sub-conscious and cellular body levels. |
How can it help you? |
Kinesiology is a non-invasive, safe and gentle experience and its aim is to help people to overcome problems caused by stress, fear, pain or self doubt which cause an inability to learn or change.
The corrective techniques to restore the body to balance might include: massage or light touch on specific reflex and lymphatic points; balancing acupuncture meridian points; deep stress defusion; muscular release and postural balancing; and nutritional support. On average a session
lasts about 1hour 30minutes. |
